Centenarians are people living to be 100 years or older.  They are one of the fastest growing populations.  However, if I asked the question, “If you knew you will live to be 100, what things in your life would you change?”  Most of you would respond, “I don’t want to live that long.”  Why not?  Well, probably, because most of us have seen our parents or grand parents age, and we don’t want that to be us.  Did you know that the average life-expectancy for someone turning 100 today was predicted by scientists in 1909 to be about 50?  People are doubling their life-expectancy all the time.  These people and many that are much younger in age are suffering.  Why?  Because the system of health care in the US is broken.  We start at birth with unnatural deliveries (drugs, induced labor, forceps, vacuums, c-sections, etc.), vaccination of all kinds throughout a lifetime, waiting until symptoms develop, get a diagnosis, treat and manage(notice I did not say fix or cure!) the diagnosed problem with drugs and/or surgery, take more drugs and have more surgery as our bodies fail one system at a time, move in with our kids because we can’t take care of ourselves, go to a nursing home because the kids can’t do it anymore, then we die.

We all know someone in that exact senario.  These people have spent 50-65 years working their respective tails off to build wealth, only to spend the next 50 years trying to buy back their health.  Ask anyone in a nursing home, and I would guess that none of them WANT to be there.  You don’t either.  Even my mom tells me that “if I am ever that way, wheel me off the ledge.”

Let me describe for you a different scenario, a chiropractic scenario.  You are born naturally, because your mother ate well, exercised and was adjusted by a chiropractor to align her pelvis and allow her body to do what it knows how to do.  You were not vaccinated, and no you didn’t die of childhood diseases as some pediatricians would like you to think.  You grew up being adjusted by a chiropractor from birth when needed.  You worked and played hard, but ate well, rested well, thought positively, and exercised the right way.  You build wealth and choose to stop working when you feel like it, not when you are eligible to draw from Social Security.  You age gracefully and share your knowledge of life with you children, grandkids, and great grandkids.  You die gracefully and pass your legacy on to the next generation.

Why are there so few who get to enjoy the above scenario?  It is about choices.  As a mentor of mine once told me, “Change is easy…thinking about change is hard, and if you change wrongly, you can always change back.”  It is about choosing to be educated on vaccination, choosing to get adjusted and get your family adjusted, choosing to eat well, choosing to exercise well, choosing to think well.

Chiropractic is a lifestyle.  A lifestyle that can change your story.  Change your life.  Change your family tree.
