If you’re looking for a southeast Denver Chiropractic care office, what should you look for? What questions should you ask before you start receiving care?
1. Location may be everything. With chiropractic care treatments, you may be visiting your chiropractor frequently in the beginning. If you’re located in southeast Denver, it’s important to find a chiropractor in southeast Denver. Finding a chiropractor close to home, close to work, or on the way from one to the other may help you make time for your chiropractic visits.
2. Chiropractic care = wellness care. Once your maximum improvement is reached, periodic adjustments are still needed to maintain wellness. Wellness care means regular maintenance – not an adjustment when you’re out of balance again.
3. Visit with the doctor. Because chiropractic care is all about wellness, its important to connect with your doctor.
4. Look for ongoing education and development. Is the chiropractic office a part of the community? Are they involved in local groups? Are they active online, and make a commitment to get involved? Do they stay current on medical trends? A sign of a strong business is one that stays active.
5. What are your goals for wellness? Different people have different requirements for a healthy lifestyle. Discuss your goals, and make sure your chiropractor can help you achieve your goals.

3. What are your office hours? Chiropractic care should fit easily into your schedule. Make sure you have the time available when your chiropractor will be in the office.
4. I have _______. How will chiropractic care help me with my problem/disease? The more your chiropractor knows about your background, the easier it will be for him to help you with a solution.
5. What is your background? A good chiropractor will be dedicated to helping you live a healthy life, not just offering chiropractic care.

Lone Tree Chiropractic

If you’re looking for a Lone Tree Chiropractic center to help you feel better and stay healthy, it’s important to keep several things in mind.
1. Find a chiropractor that treats the whole you. A chiropractor should be concerned about your overall wellness – not just fixing a problem. Chiropractic care bypasses the western ideology of using medicine to cover up symptoms, and instead focuses on getting to the cause of the problem and returning you to a healthy living style.
2. Go in with an open mind. Just because your arm hurts doesn’t mean your arm is the root of the problem. In many cases a pain is caused by a reaction to a more serious problem. Chiropractors are trained to look at things from a whole body standpoint.
3. Look for education along with treatment. The more you understand about your health, the more active role you are likely to take in keeping your health. While a chiropractor can often times get to the root of the problem, its necessary to understand how not to repeat and get in that situation again. If you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’ll get the same results. But if you learn to approach things from different angles, you’ll likely have completely different results. Which ultimately should make you happier and healthier.

Chiropractors Don’t Cure Anything!
Filed Under Chiropractic Care | 1 Comment
Yes, you read the headline correctly. Chiropractors don’t cure anything; not headaches, not asthma, not stomach disorders or even back pain. Then what does a chiropractor do?
Chiropractic is based on very basic scientific fact. Your brain is responsible for every bodily function you ever perform from before you were born until the time you die. Your brain sends those instructions through a vast telephone network (known as the nervous system) to every cell, tissue and organ in your body. If those telephone lines are interfered with in any way, those instructions coming from the brain get distorted and the result is lost function. (Think of Christopher Reeve to help with this concept, he damaged his telephone lines and as a result has very little function in his body.)
Your spine is designed to protect the telephone lines. If the spine has been injured (even very slightly) it can become a major irritant to the nerve system, this is what chiropractors call a subluxation. How serious is this problem?
“Vertebral subluxation changes the entire health of the body by causing structural dysfunction of the spine and causing nerve interference. The weight of a dime on a spinal nerve will reduce nerve impulse transmission by as much as 60%.”WOW!—Chang H. Suh, Spinal Biomechanics Specialist, University of Colorado
“Nerve dysfunction is stressful to the visceral nerve and other body structures and the lowered tissue resistance modifies the immune response and lessens the overall capability of the immune system.”—the journal Science, 1981 WHO NEEDS THAT?
“The quality of healing is directly proportional to the functional capability of the nerve system to send and receive nerve messages.” – J Edwards, MD, PhD., BET YOU DIDN’T KNOW THAT!

1. Good Chiropractors Go Beyond Just Giving Adjustments.
While it’s true that you can go to any chiropractor on the corner, an experienced chiropractor will go beyond aligning your spine. They provide education on health issues and provide resources for other health providers.
2. Be Smarter
Studies have shown that chronic back pain shrinks the brain 11% per year, compared to the .5% of a normal brain. The area of the brain affected is the “thinking” center of the brain, which is responsible for memory and information processing.
3. Live A Longer, More Productive Life
One of the fastest growing segments of the population today is centenarians. Many have outlived their life expectancy by half a century- if they knew they were going to live this long, do you think they would have made better health choices along the way? Chiropractic will help you live a life without limits!
4. Healthy And Drug-Free Kids
Kids have a spine too! Keeping pressure off their nerves helps keep them healthy and avoids the use of drugs. It helps with ear infections, hyperactivity, frequent falling, bed wetting, and other “common” childhood afflictions.
5. Doctors Of Chiropractic Can Save You Money In The Long Run
Studies show that regular chiropractic care helps keep you healthy, thereby decreasing medical costs. Employers also benefit because employees who are under chiropractic care take less sick days and have a greater productivity rate.
6. Improve Athletic Ability
Whether you are a professional athlete or a weekend warrior, chiropractic care helps performance – up to a 10% improvement! World-class athletes like Tiger Woods and Lance Armstrong credit chiropractic for keeping them at the top of their game. Better mechanics and increased flexibility (golf swing) are just some of the advantages. Make the most of your training by making chiropractic a part of your fitness regimen!
7. Be Like A Celebrity
Famous people know how important it is to keep their spine and nervous system healthy. Brad Pitt, when going through rigorous training for ‘Troy’, credited chiropractic for keeping him in top shape. James Earl Jones, Demi Moore, Usher, and the band Aerosmith (to name a few) all have chiropractors who travel with them everywhere!
8. Great Alternative To Drugs
The average elderly person takes an average of 13 medications to treat 4 conditions. You do the math! Every drug has side effects, and once you start “medicating” side effects, it is a losing battle. Chiropractic has no adverse side effects and does a whole lot more than just cover up the symptoms!
9. It’s Better Than Getting Cut Up
80% of back surgeries are unnecessary, and the results are less than desired. Carpal Tunnel surgery is often not effective because the cause is usually in the neck, not the wrist! Chiropractic and other non-invasive alternatives should always be tried first, and surgery as the last resort.
10. Be A Fine-Tuned Machine
Imagine if you only had one car for the rest of your life. Would you change the oil on time or even early? Would you have your wheels aligned and rotated more often? Would you buy the cheapest oil, gas, tires, etc. or would you spend more for quality? Would you wash and wax your car keeping it free from rust and sun damage? YOU ONLY GET ONE BODY, ONE SPINE, AND ONE MIND. Chiropractic care is like having the best “pit crew” for your body. Ensure peak performance for your lifetime!
11. You Have Tried Everything Else
Unfortunately, some people seek chiropractic as a last resort. Fortunately, your body has a unique ability to heal itself of everything from cuts to cancer when it functions properly. Chiropractic care ensures optimum function!

Top 10 Myths About Chiropractic…
Filed Under Chiropractic Care | 2 Comments
10. Chiropractors Are Not Real Doctors! Chiropractors are indeed real doctors licensed by the province in which they practice, and actually have more classroom hours than Medical Doctors. D.C stands for Doctor of Chiropractic.
9. It Only Helps Adults, Not Children. Quite the opposite, in fact, chiropractic results are achieved much quicker on children than adults. Similar scenario with quick results that occur when children wear dental braces as opposed to adults.
8. Chiropractors Treat Back Pain Only. Some doctors do, but that is like changing your motor oil only when your engine is smoking. The best Doctor of Chiropractic addresses the misaligned vertebrae to improve the function of the nervous system.
7. Too Expensive. Medical treatment is usually 50-70x more expensive than chiropractic treatment and over 80% of the cost is for diagnosis. Chiropractic has been proven through research to be 3 times more cost effective.
6. Spinal Adjustments Hurt. The spinal adjustment itself does not hurt, however you may be sore after the first adjustment, similar to starting an exercise program.
5. An Adjustment Will Cause A Stroke. The chance of having a stroke from a chiropractic adjustment is about 1 in 6,000,000. You have a better chance of being struck by lightning.
4. It Is Harmful And Dangerous. It has been established by the U.S Government that chiropractic is the SAFEST and most effective treatment for back pain. Medical malpractice results in more than 180,000 deaths each year.
3. Chiropractors Is Just A Health Trend. If chiropractic is a health trend, it is the country’s longest trend since it has been around for over 105 years
2. No Scientific Proof That It Works. In the last 10 years, there have been hundreds of studies proving its validity in the health care arena.
1. They Say It Heals Everything. Since the body is a self-healing organism, it is the body not the doctor that does the healing. However, the chiropractor is the only professional trained in detecting and removing the subluxation from the nervous system.

What Is Chiropractic?
Filed Under Chiropractic Care | 1 Comment
What is chiropractic?
Chiropractic is the science by which the doctor locates and removes the cause of disease. Treating symptoms is an unrewarding task for both patient and doctor alike. Drugs tend to mask the pain and hide the underlying illness or disorder. Illness and pain tend to come from within and, logically, the cure should also come from within.
A simple example of correction of the cause of health problems is the “hose theory”. You are in the yard watering the lawn with a garden hose and a rock falls across the hose. It may interfere with the flow of water to where there is only half the original amount coming out of the nozzle. Do you work on the nozzle? No, you go back down the hose and remove the cause-the rock. That is what Chiropractic is all about, locating and removing the cause. What follows?—HEALTH!
Does chiropractic always work?
No, Chiropractic doesn’t always work. The same as the water hose situation—if the rock caused too much damage to the hose, then the removal of the rock is not going to make the water flow freely. Or, if you keep twisting and pulling on the hose, it may interfere with the flow. The same holds true in your body. The Chiropractor may remove the cause, but there can still be too much damage done to restore the body to perfect health. Also, as with the twisting or pulling of the water hose, if you don’t cooperate with the Chiropractor and allow correction to take place, you shouldn’t expect complete health. Chiropractic will work, does work, and has worked. Chiropractic will restore your health if there hasn’t been too much damage and you cooperate.
What is the cause of my disorder?
Suddenly you find yourself ill or in pain. Why? Some part of your mechanism has failed to function normally. Let us see what is causing this function to fail. Function fails because current fails, and that is the reason the light bulb doesn’t burn if the wall switch is off and the normal flow of current is interfered with. The current fails because something has interfered with its transmission.
How does chiropractic find the cause?
The chiropractor has to find the cause before he/she can correct it. Knowing that cause is an interference to normal flow of impulses from brain to tissue, then it is the job of the Chiropractor to find this interference. The chiropractor has an instrument called a Tytron which determines where interference exists and to what degree it exists. A recording is made of that portion of the spine with the Tytron to ascertain the pattern of interference. When this is established, precision x-rays are taken which virtually act as blueprint negatives. These confirm the Tytron readings by revealing exact position of the Atlas or Axis vertebrae and recommend to the chiropractor the correct manner in which to reposition the vertebra. Read more

In today’s world, there is a doctor or specialist for every part of your body. The best doctor ever created works to keep us healthy and alive 24 hours a day. It is inside of us and it came from GOD called innate intelligence. Regardless of your religious belief, we would all agree that there is wisdom inside of us. This wisdom within us…
- Draws the blueprint and organizes every living organ for your body
- Regulates, directs and controls the body all of the time
- Knows when something is wrong inside of you and how to fix it.
- Rebuilds all tissues, organs, muscles and bones
- Tells you when to sneeze, when to blow your nose, when to go bathroom, when to sweat and when to shiver
- Raises the skin into a blister when the skin is burned
- Heals a broken bone or cut on the skin
- Tells you when to blink your eyes
- Grows your toe nails, fingernails, and hair
- Beats your heart and puts air into your lungs
- Regulates your body temperature
- Tells you when you are tired, thirsty or hungry
- Gets any sick organ or part of the body well
- KEEPS YOU ALIVE!
Your innate intelligence resides in your spine and travels from your brain to your body. If there is an interruption or disturbance to your body’s inborn wisdom, odds are you are Subluxated.
SUBLUXATION is a condition that occurs when the top two vertebrae in your spine misalign causing the messages from the brain to the body to become distorted due to the pressure placed upon the Brainstem.
Living in this state, your body is breaking down and beginning to malfunction. The longer you live in this state, the weaker the body becomes. Sickness and/or disease will eventually ensue.
